Description

Platinum Izumo Takeami Bamboo Weaving Fountain Pen – Ankekushoku

Since the Jomon period (~ 1300-300 B.C.), bamboo has been widely used by Japanese on various tools and decorations.

Platinum combines traditional bamboo weaving craftsmanship with fountain pens and creates the Izumo Takeami fountain pen series. Its elaborate main shaft is woven by craftsmen by traditional methods. Starting from boiling, the craftsmen have to go through 13 steps to process the bamboo, which include cutting, peeling, weaving, lacquering, then use a powder made from insect shells to add a primitive textured finish to the pen barrel.

Izumo Takeami fountain pen comes with a 18K gold nib.

Three colors of Izumo Takeami fountain pen are available in our shop:

  1. Torafu (Brown)
  2. Ankokushoku (Black)
  3. Benikabairo (Red)

This pen is packaged in a wooden paulawina box, (1) Blue-Black 30g bottled ink, (1) converter and (1) Black cartridge.
